Tongue Ranger District Seeks Comments

Press Release – The Tongue Ranger District of the Bighorn National Forest is seeking public comments for a proposal to add a second course to the annual archery shoot that is currently permitted to Sheridan County Sportsmen’s Association.
The event is held adjacent to Bear Lodge Resort the first weekend in August. In 2017, the course will be set up on August 4, the shoot will take place August 5 and 6, and the course removed on August 6. The Association has proposed to add a second course south of Bear Lodge Resort in and around the patches of timber just south of U.S. Highway 14A.

Comments are due May 17, 2017. Comments can be sent by email to comments-bighorn@fs.fed.us with “SCSA Archery Shoot” in the subject line. Comments can also be submitted in person or by regular mail to the Tongue Ranger District, 2013 Eastside 2nd Street, Sheridan, WY 82801. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except federal holidays.
