“The basis for the Rockpile Museum Association internship stems from the overall goal and vision to provide exceptional educational experiences. This not only includes programming and exhibits, but also educational opportunities for emerging professionals in the field of museums and archives. The anticipated results of this internship include a greater knowledge of cataloging and artifact handling, as well has how to research and develop exhibits that reach local, regional, and national audiences.
This exciting paid opportunity includes housing, passes to area recreational facilities, memberships to historical organizations, tickets to events and attractions, and a monthly stipend. Not only will the museum benefit from additional helping hands, the intern will also have the chance to explore the many opportunities Gillette, and Campbell County, has to offer.” Angela Beenken, Registrar, Campbell County Rockpile Museum.
