Press Release – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., returned from a week-long congressional delegation trip to Poland, Italy, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Spain. Enzi joined Senator Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., who led the trip, and Senators John Boozman, R-Ark., Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., and Representative Tim Walberg, R-Mich. During the trip, the delegation met with U.S. troops, military officials and country leaders.

“I appreciated the opportunity to meet with our troops serving so far from home and learn more about how they are working to protect our country and to review our readiness plans,” Enzi said. “It was also a great experience to meet with foreign leaders and stakeholders to learn more about the issues in each region. I was moved by a unifying prayer breakfast in Kenya we were lucky enough to attend where the new president and opposition leader came together to reiterate their commitment to national unity and to ask each other for forgiveness after apologizing. This trip helped to provide a better understanding of the challenges our country and our allies face abroad.”
