Helicopter Assists With Timber Fire

On June 8, 2018 The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
At 10:34 a.m. to Fence Creek, northwestern Campbell County, for a report of a timber fire. Firefighters located the lighting caused fire from the night prior and is now 80% contained at 25 acres of brush and timber burned. 12 firefighters from CCFD and BLM worked on the ground, while the Wyoming State Helicopter crew also assisted to contain the fire until late into the evening. The fire has been turned over to WY State Helitack.
At 1:29 p.m. to 132 E I-90 westbound for a single passenger vehicle collision. Firefighters located the vehicle upright on the north side I-90. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle.
At 4:13 p.m. to 712 Apricot Street for an automatic fire alarm activation in a residence. Upon investigation it was determined to have been activated by smoke from burnt food. There was no fire and the alarm reset.
At 5:56 p.m. to Sierra Circle for an emergency medical response. Fire department assistance was not needed upon arrival.
Year to date the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 1064 requests for service.
