Fatal Crash Near Green River, Wyoming

Press Release – On July 28th, 2018 a fatal crash occurred at milepost 14 on Wyoming 372 near Green River, Wyoming.  At 4:05 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area for a motorcycle crash.

A 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on WY 372 at a high rate speed. Near milepost 14 the driver of the motorcycle failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and the motorcycle exited the highway. The motorcycle continued through the right of way and overturned, throwing the driver from the motorcycle. The driver was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Driver inattention and excessive speed are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash.

The driver has been identified as 55-year-old Green River, Wyoming resident Randy Lowseth.

This is the 61st fatality on Wyoming’s highways in 2018 compared to 82 in 2017, 53 in 2016, and 83 in 2015 to date.
