Firearms Presentations At Museum

Press Release – The Campbell County Rockpile Museum is pleased to announce two presentations by Ashley Hlebinsky of the Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. On Friday, Nov. 9th at 7:00 p.m. she will discuss her work as curator of the renowned collection of firearms at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. This talk is free and open to the public.

She will also give a limited-registration workshop on Saturday, Nov. 10th at 10:00 a.m. regarding the care of firearms. Pre-registration is required for this workshop and is limited to 30 individuals. Registration for the Saturday workshop opens to the public on Oct. 9th. Please call 307-682-5723 to sign up.

Ashley Hlebinsky is the Robert W. Woodruff Curator of the Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. She manages over 7,000 firearms, ranging from the 1200s through modern day. Prior to her work at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, she researched in the Smithsonian Institution’s National Firearms Collection. Hlebinsky earned her B.A. and later M.A. in American History and Museum Studies. Additionally, she serves as a firearms consultant for museums, an expert witness, a freelance firearms writer, a firearms instructor, a lecturer, an on-camera firearms historian, and a television producer. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious NSSF/POMA Grits Gresham Shooting Sports Communicator of the Year Award and was named one of Wyoming Business Report’s Top 40 Under the Age of 40.
