MOTT THE HOOPLE ’74 ANNOUNCE MORE U.S. SHOWS

Written by on July 29, 2019

Mott the Hoople ’74 are returning after brief but successful trek across the U.S. earlier this year. They’ll play 11 more concerts spread out over two weeks in the fall.

Shows begin on Oct. 21 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., and conclude on Nov. 6 at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. A Spotify Fans First pre-sale begins at 10AM local time tomorrow (July 30). You can check out all the dates below and get full details at their website.

Ian Hunter initially revived his old group with guitarist Ariel Bender and keyboardist Morgan Fisher from their 1974 lineup for eight concerts in April. That marked Mott’s first American appearance since dates in support of 1974’s The Hoople. As with the spring run, the lineup is rounded out by multi-instrumentalist James Mastro, guitarist Mark Bosch, bassist Paul Page, keyboardist Dennis Dibrizzi and drummer Steve Holley.

Hunter also helped close out this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony by joining Def LeppardBrian May and members of the ZombiesRoxy Music and others for a rousing take on “All the Young Dudes,” Mott the Hoople’s biggest hit.
