2020 Law Enforcement Torch Run

Written by on May 7, 2020

Due to social distancing guidelines, the 2020 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will now be a virtual run. The goal is to engage more officers and athletes, reach 2,020 miles and raise $20,200 for Special Olympics Wyoming. You can follow the Virtual Torch Run on their Facebook page.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is used to raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics and represents the largest grassroots fundraising effort for that group. Each year members of the Gillette Police Department, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, family, and friends participate with their fellow law enforcement officers throughout the world.

As part of the fundraising efforts, there are t-shirts available to show support for Special Olympics. Proceeds will assist Special Olympics athletes to attend area and national events. Click here for the t-short order form.
